Is Levitra The Best Viagra Alternative?
Erectile dysfunction is one of the major problems that the men are facing across the world due to the life style and work stress. There are different kinds of treatments available for this problem. Viagra has been found as a good cure for this problem. There are lots of other forms of pills that are available now in the market which target to solve this problem. One such pill is Levitra. Levitra is also supposed to inhibit PDE5 just like Viagra. These are supposed to be very effective oral treatments for erectile dysfunction. Even though Viagra and Levitra play the same kind of role, their chemical structure is quite different. Levitra’s chemical name is Vardenafil while the chemical name of Viagra is Sildenafil.
Apart from above mentioned difference, the other important difference between Viagra and Levitra in the pill effective time. It is said that Viagra’s pill effective time is around 4 hours from the time it is consumed while Levitra has been known to have a pill effective time of 4 to 5 hours from the time it is consumed. This extra hour is the reason for Levitra’s popularity.
Studies also have shown that 50 mg of Viagra is equal to 10 mg of Levitra. Also there is different in the doses available in the market. Levitra is available in 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg and 20 mg doses while Viagra is available in 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg. Viagra is usually taken 30 minutes to 4 hours in advance of the sexual act while Levitra is best taken 25 to 60 minutes before sexual act. This shorter notice time allows men to better time the ingestion of the pill unlike Viagra which has a rather huge range.
Cost wise there is difference also between Viagra and Levitra. Viagra cost around $10 per pill while Levitra, because of its long lasting effect costs $20 per pill. There are much cheaper online drugs however they are non branded generic drugs and not sure if they are faked versions of pills which would be very dangerous to consume. From the above Levitra might look like a best alternative for Viagra but Levitra comes up with more permanent side effects than Viagra and thus it is said that Levitra is not a best replacement for Viagra. Please consult a doctor before you start any medication as there is lot of side effects that are associated with either of them.
